Can my pet have CBD?
Dogs: Dogs have been studied extensively for the potential benefits of CBD, including for pain management, anxiety reduction, and seizure control (Gamelin et al., 2020; McGrath et al., 2019).
Cats: Although research on cats is more limited compared to dogs, CBD is also used to manage pain, anxiety, and certain inflammatory conditions in cats (Bartner et al., 2018).
Horses: CBD is increasingly being explored as a supplement for horses, particularly for managing pain, inflammation associated with arthritis, and anxiety related to transportation or performance stress (Waldron et al., 2020).
Small Mammals (e.g., rabbits, guinea pigs): While less researched, CBD may potentially benefit small mammals similarly to larger pets, particularly in managing pain and stress-related behaviors (Hague et al., 2020).
Birds: CBD's effects on birds are still being studied, but it has been used anecdotally to manage pain and reduce anxiety in pet birds (Castrillo et al., 2021).
